Ortovox Free Rider 26 L - Compact, versatile freeride backpack with integrated back protector.
Ortovox protects. This guiding principle was also the focus of the development of Ortovox Free Riders: The downhill-oriented backpack for freeriders has an SPS Flex back protector, which allows the back system and protector to become a flexible unit. Made up of eight pads that remain pleasantly flexible even in the cold, the TÜV-certified protector adapts to the body and absorbs impacts. As a protective foam Ortovox uses SAS-Tec. After the effects of external forces, the viscoelastic foam returns to its original shape after a short time. In contrast to other damping materials, it is also multi-impact capable (impacts do not destroy the protectors) and responds even to minor impacts. the damping is almost linear, which keeps the stress on the human body low. In addition to the optimized back protector, the Free Rider 26 L also has innovative and optimized features: In addition to the diagonal ski attachment and the snowboard attachment, the larger model of the Free RiderS has a side ski attachment.
A permanently integrated helmet net, a drinking system preparation and a wide hip belt for an optimal, body-hugging fit are standard features of the Freeride Series, as are ice ax and pole attachments and the safety compartment. Small items or even a light jacket can be stored in the small storage compartment at the top. That doesn't mean it weighs more - on the contrary: the Free Rider 26 L has become significantly lighter. As with all Ortovox backpacks, the Freeride Series comes with an emergency card: In the event of an emergency, the card provides information about the injured person and can thus enable faster and more efficient treatment.
RIGHT PROTECTION: Those who are away from the crowds off-road need protection. But only what fits properly can protect your body optimally. For this reason, the Ortovox Freerider line is available in three different sizes. With Ortovox TÜV-certified protectors, we offer injury protection for every body size and back length. Short (S) is ideal for a back length of 36 - 44 cm with a height of approx. 150 - 175 cm, REGULAR for a back length of 42 - 50 cm with a height of approx. 170 - 195 cm and Long (L) is best suited for a back length of 47 - 55 cm with a height of approx. 180 - 200 cm. The wide, enclosing hip belt ensures that the protector fits perfectly - especially when it matters most.
