The Atomic Backland 88 W 26/27 was developed for women who accept no limits when ski touring and want to ski the entire mountain. Its 88 mm waist offers more surface area and therefore better float in deep snow, while its weight of only around 1200 g at 162 cm makes every climb easier. The result is a true all-round touring ski that performs on long tours just as well as on deep powder days – and whose balanced character suits beginners and experts alike. The lower-impact design is the result of a scientific life cycle assessment and cuts material-based CO₂ emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021).

Low weight with high strength comes from more wood, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls. The HRZN 3D tip – successor to the proven HRZN tech – features a uniquely beveled shape with more surface area for noticeably better flotation. The All-Terrain Profile reimagines the thickness curve, torsional stiffness and flex pattern, giving the ski more stability and wildly versatile performance.
