The Fischer Transalp 12 PT W/O Brake is the purist, weight-optimised version of the Transalp 12 PT – a pin touring binding for ambitious ski tourers who count every gram but still refuse to compromise on a wide release range. Without a brake it weighs only around 325 g per binding and is used with a leash in classic style – if needed, a brake in 90, 105 or 120 mm can be retrofitted.
With laterally and vertically adjustable release values from 5–12, the binding offers safety reserves rarely found in this weight class. The dynamic length compensation in the heel keeps values consistent even when the ski flexes. Three climbing aid levels ease the ascent in any terrain, and a crampon slot provides secure hold on icy traverses. Thanks to 25 mm of heel adjustment the binding covers boot sole lengths from 250–350 mm, and an optional Performance Spacer improves power transmission on the descent.
