Ortovox PROBE STEEL 320+PFA

Ortovox Probe Steel 320+PFA - The probe of all rescue organizations. The STEEL 320 + PFA is our extendable professional probe made of steel with a PFA system with a length of 320 cm. Thanks to the optimized PFA system, the professional probe can be tensioned in a flash and at the same time has a more compact pack size. The quick-release loop tightens the probe using a robust steel cable without causing the elements to shift. Like all our probes, the professional probe has easy-to-read depth markings, a clear 1-meter marking and the lowest segment in neon orange, which gives a visual indication of the proximity of the buried subject. The steel segment diameter of 12 mm makes the STEEL 320+ PFA extremely tough and stiff. It comes in a length of 320 cm, but can be easily extended with additional segments. The new, improved rubberized grip also ensures safe, ice-free handling in all conditions.

PFA quick-release system 2.0

The successor to our often copied quick-action clamping system has become even SLIMMER and therefore MORE PACK-FRIENDLY with the same infinitely proven clamping performance. With the NEW QUICK RELEASE LOOP, the probe can be clamped directly out of the sheath. You relax by pressing your thumb against the system cover.

The thin and light rubber coating ensures a perfect hold for quick tensioning of the probe.


Visual guidance system

The intuitive visual guidance system gives you quick and clear information about the BURIED DEPTH at all times. Thanks to the clear 1 m marking, the HIGH CONTRASTING DEPTH SCALE and the COLORED END SEGMENTS, you can OPTIMALLY ADJUST your SHOVEL STRATEGY and save important time. The bottom, neon orange segment shows you when you are approaching the victim.


Quick-Release Cover

The quick-release loop enables immediate OPENING AND CLAMPING WITH ONE HANDLE, without having to take the probe out of the sheath beforehand.
Voluminous probe tip
The significantly larger diameter of the probe tip than the probe elements promises better penetration.
