The Salomon RC8 + Shift Classic is a classic cross-country ski without skins, ideal for skiers who want to wax their own kick zone and thus have maximum control over grip and glide. The Stringer Core – a light, torsion-resistant wood core with carbon reinforcement – ensures efficient power transfer, while the stone-ground G4 Racing base glides superbly.

The proven Prolink Shift binding comes pre-mounted and can be repositioned quickly and easily – for more grip or better glide in changing snow and trail conditions. The parallel classic sidecut (approx. 44-44-44 mm) guarantees stable straight-line running in the track, and Digital Dynamic Flex Control (D2FC) delivers optimal flex. At approx. 1.4–1.5 kg per pair including binding, the set stays nice and light.
