Ortovox 3L Guardian Shell Pants - Robust, windproof and waterproof freeride pants with a soft merino lining.
The 3L Guardian Shell Pants impress with a unique combination of the high-performance Dermizax®EV membrane by Toray and full lining made of merino wool on the inside.
Thanks to the membrane, the freeride pants for women protect you from snow and moisture: With a water column of at least 20,000 mm, the HardShell pants are waterproof and completely windproof at the same time. On the inside, a backing made of 100% merino wool ensures excellent temperature management: the wool of the Merino Guardian Shell Pants ensures rapid vapor transmission, so that no film of moisture can form on the inside and the 3L HardShell pants also feel dry on the inside. During strenuous ascents, the Merino Guardian Shell can absorb large amounts of moisture and then slowly release it again. The Dermizax®EV membrane supports this buffering effect and ensures ideal temperature and moisture management. And if it gets cooler on the descent, the merino backing provides pleasant warmth, while the merinoprene back protection in the extra high-cut back protects you from snow and cold.
Other features such as the integrated gaiters or the edge protection with Cordura® provide additional protection when freeriding. Ventilation zips on the sides give you additional cooling during heavy exertion. The thigh and hip pockets have space for everything you need while freeriding. At the same time, innovative processing technologies in the Merino GURADIAN Shell Pants allow significantly flatter and therefore more durable seams, so that the freeride pants for women are more resistant - and you can experience endless powder days with the 3-layer hard shell pants.
Merino wool has been an integral part of mountain wear since 1995 by Ortovox. Ortovox merino wool comes from happy sheep from controlled, species-appropriate sheep farming. the wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore particularly sustainable. Due to the fine wool threads with a small fiber diameter, merino wool is extremely soft and pleasant on the skin. In addition to comfort, it ensures an optimal body climate, because merino wool regulates moisture and temperature. In addition, it is easy to care for and has an innovative odor thanks to its antibacterial effect.
Dermizax EV works in the same way as the Dermizax NX membrane. It is completely waterproof (min. 20,000 mm) and 100% windproof. breathability is up to 20,000 g/m2/24h and is therefore ideal for freeriding.
