Hanwag Makra Pro Low GTX - The low cut version of the Makra Pro GTX is a flexible and robust approach shoe for demanding terrain. It offers optimal cushioning in the heel area and at the same time high edge stability on terrain.
But what actually makes a good approach shoe? Multifunctionality is required. The Makra Pro Low GTX works on a wide variety of terrain: from asphalt paths to forests and meadows to scree fields. Comfort, stability and flexibility play an important role here. Its light but particularly stable midsole is made of PU and EVA: the oversized PU heel ensures perfect cushioning, and a reinforcing PU foam wedge in the heel area also supports an ideal rolling movement. EVA in the forefoot area ensures precision when starting - and the exclusive Vibram "Makra outsole" offers excellent grip.
A feature of the Makra family is the optimized Ghilly lacing down to the toe area - the laces are pulled through textile loops . The foot also has good support in the front area and in a half-height model and you stand stable in the shoe. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, your feet stay dry even in changeable weather. The Perwanger leather is robust, breathable and durable. A combination of materials that is convincing across the board.
