Mammut Smart 2.0

The Mammut Smart 2.0 abseil device is an intuitively operated safety device that offers maximum safety thanks to reliable locking of the climbing rope. The first generation of the smart security device saw the light of day in 2009 and has continuously gained experience since then. The Smart 2.0, in turn, is characterized by a significantly improved braking effect, optimized geometry and easy handling.

The newly developed brake insert in particular impresses with its ability to reliably block the rope in the event of a fall, which in combination with the safety carabiner offers exceptional support for the belayer. The device's proven belay method is based on the reflex movements of the belayer, which makes the Smart 2.0 the ideal choice for both beginners and experienced climbers.
