The Tatonka Kyrkja tunnel tent is designed for one person. The vestibule with side entrance offers enough space for a trekking backpack and other gear. The tent features a well-thought-out construction with one large and one small pole, which expands the rear area and provides sufficient sleeping space even for taller users. This one-person tent is very lightweight, robust, and has an extremely compact pack size.
The flysheet of the Kyrkja is made from highly tear-resistant, five-times silicone-coated nylon 6.6 ripstop fabric. The waterproof tent floor made of PU-coated nylon, with a 10,000 mm water column, offers excellent protection against ground moisture. The inner tent is made of breathable nylon fabric. Slip-in pockets at the head end and a clothesline help keep things organized in the limited space.
The tent can be set up in no time, as the inner and outer tent are connected. In rainy conditions, the inner tent can simply be detached and stored dry – for the next setup, the flysheet is pitched first, and then the dry inner tent is attached.
