The Alpina Prolan Vest Women is the protector vest in a women's specific cut – shaped for the female silhouette so it really sits at the chest and waist and doesn't shift. It joins you on the piste just as readily as in the park and in open terrain, and barely adds bulk under your ski jacket.
What makes the PROLAN protector special is the material: instead of viscoelastic foam, Alpina uses multi-layer plates of pressed European sheep's wool. Wool damps independently of temperature – the protector doesn't stiffen even in double-digit sub-zero cold, while foam protectors get noticeably harder. On top of that, the natural moisture management of wool makes sweating under your jacket far more pleasant. The vest is certified to EN 1621-2:2014 level 1 as a full back protector.
