The Alpina Versatile Mips is exactly what its name promises: a helmet for everything. Piste, freeride, ski touring – it switches between disciplines without you having to switch helmets. It was developed to pair precisely with the Alpina Venet ski goggle, but works just as well with most other goggles.
Safety comes from a trio of MIPS, Hi-EPS and Edge Protect: the MIPS layer dissipates rotational forces in angled impacts, the Hi-EPS core absorbs direct impact energy and Edge Protect reinforces the lower edges with an additional polycarbonate plate. At around 440 grams the helmet still stays light enough for the climb. The 2D-Fit system adapts it to your head, the adjustable vents keep the climate under control – and when the ascent gets genuinely warm, simply remove the ear pads for noticeably more airflow. The Ergomatic buckle opens and closes one-handed, even with thick gloves.
