The Alpina Kroon MIPS is the helmet for long days between piste and freeride. It joins you from the first lift to the last run and brings exactly the protective reserves you need in open terrain. The matt in-mold shell looks plain and modern – the real technology sits underneath.
Between the padding and the shell sits the MIPS system: a low-friction layer that can shift roughly 10 to 15 millimetres in every direction on impact. That movement absorbs part of the rotational energy generated by angled falls. The in-mold construction bonds the polycarbonate outer shell inseparably to the Hi-EPS core and keeps the helmet at around 450 grams. The Run System Ergo Snow dial and the five-step 3D-Fit height adjustment put it exactly where it belongs, Airstream Control lets you regulate ventilation on the move, and the removable liner can be taken out for cleaning at any time.
