The Alpina Falera MAG Q is the big freeride goggle in the range – frameless, with a spherically domed lens and a field of view of more than 180 degrees. Fit index L makes it the right pick for larger faces, and because there is plenty of room inside you can wear your prescription glasses underneath. Its territory runs from the piste to the park and onto the glacier.
The real trick is the MAG system: the large spherical lens is held magnetically to the frame and can be swapped with a single movement – with gloves on, even on the lift. Two lenses are included. The S2 Quattroflex lens is colour-mirrored, strongly contrast enhancing and polarised, for sunny days. The bright S1 Q-Lite lens in pink is non-mirrored and contrast enhancing and takes over as soon as clouds move in or it starts to snow. The Doublelens Thermoblock breaks the cold bridge, the Airframe Venting System keeps air moving and the 50-millimetre strap with silicone inserts sits rock solid on your helmet.
