Salewa Ortles Powertex Downjacket Women - This down jacket is exceptionally warm and still offers a lot of freedom of movement thanks to its free-motion pattern with ergonomically cut sleeves and shoulders. The extremely robust, 2-layer Ripstop Powertex Shell membrane has a high-quality DWR finish (durable water repellent) and offers optimal protection in all weather conditions. For insulation we use a high-quality 90/10 down filling made from pure down with a fill power of 750 cuin. A 3D chamber construction keeps the down in place, the lining is made of a light, soft fabric. The down meets the Responsible Down quality standard and comes from independently tested and traceable sources.

One of the outstanding functional features of this jacket is the hood, which thanks to the clever zip gusset offers an optimal fit both with and without a helmet. The hood can be perfectly adjusted with drawstrings at the front and back and is integrated into the high collar. It also has internal drawstrings at the neck and around the face for extra protection in stormy weather. The 2-way front zip allows excellent access to the harness and belay device if worn under the jacket. Two cuffs at the hem and a windproof gaiter keep cold drafts out and lock in core heat. With their wider opening, which can be tightened with a handy Velcro fastener, the cuffs are very suitable for large, thick winter gloves.
