Looks like down, feels like it too - but it's purely synthetic and, on top of that, sustainable. The lightweight Speed Insulation hooded jacket with quilted chambers on the body and smooth sleeves mimics the structure of down, but relies on an innovative filling made of 100% recycled synthetic fiber and high-performance PrimaLoft® Gold insulation on the sleeves.
The advantage of synthetic fiber insulation in comparison to down: It is significantly easier to care for, insensitive to moisture and therefore ideally suited for a wide range of uses, making it the perfect choice for fast mountain and ski tours, for an extended summit rest or as a warming intermediate layer on particularly cold days. Thanks to the wind- and water-repellent outer material, the jacket can also be worn as an outer layer in windy and mixed conditions.
The jacket's cut is athletic and elastic cuffs on the sleeves and hood ensure a perfect fit without slipping . It has two zipped pockets and two spacious inner pockets in which the jacket can be stowed away small and compact.
