Salewa Ortles Hybrid TWR Jacket - Whether in the Dolomites or the most remote corners of the world: Alpine routes in mixed terrain, i.e. in rock, ice and snow, are among the most demanding undertakings in mountain sports. Our clothing must therefore meet the highest requirements so that the body remains ideally protected and does not cool down during the interplay between exertion and cold outside temperatures.
This revised model of our established Ortles Hybrid TiroWool® Responsive Jacket impresses with its proven hybrid body mapping -Structure: Durastretch inserts are used on the back and sides, which are particularly comfortable to wear thanks to the wool content (22 percent) and the elastane ensures freedom of movement. There are also strategically placed insulation areas made of TirolWool® Responsive, which ensure excellent thermoregulation of the body and can keep you warm even when wet.
The TirolWool® Responsive material used is made from valuable wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep, on the other hand, the insulation material is refined with responsive yarns. The yarns contain thermoreactive minerals that recycle the far infrared energy (FIR) emitted by the body and slowly release it again. This creates sustainable, long-lasting warmth. If things get really uncomfortable, the fitted, insulated hood that can be adjusted at the back offers additional protection. Should the temperatures - or the intensity - rise, the jacket can be stored compressed in its own pocket.
As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the jacket has a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish . In addition, the Durastretch material consists of 22 percent fine merino wool, which guarantees a pleasant wearing comfort on the skin.
