Ortovox Shovel Kodiak - Snappy shovel machine with a unique clearing function and effective D-handle! At 3.1 l, the KODIAK has the largest shovel volume in our range and can therefore be described as the fastest shovel. In addition, the blade is extremely stiff (AL 6061 T6 = best material for shovels), but at the same time easy to pack and fits easily into any ORTOVOX backpack. The cutting edge is sharpened and the upper edge has non-slip tread grooves. The shaft is oval (= stiff), telescopic and has a non-slip rubber coating. The D-grip is considered the most ergonomic grip on the market and brings real power to the snow. Compared to the previous version, it has been made more compact without sacrificing working length. Also new is the flat blade, which is now perfect for professional snow profiles.
The clearing function is unique. The frictional connection of handle and blade is indestructible and thus saves the decisive seconds when it comes to the lives of your companions.
