We designed the Ortovox Merino Shield Tec line precisely for such long, alpine routes!
The extremely abrasion-resistant outer material of the Pala Pants passes more than 50,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, which measures abrasion resistance. Additional inserts in the pre-shaped knee area offer maximum protection from rugged rocks. The 4-way stretch material provides full freedom of movement, which is supported by an athletic cut. Thanks to their membrane-free construction, the Pala Pants are particularly breathable, fine merino wool on the inside and merino mesh on the waistband ensure an additional comfortable fit.
The contents are quickly at hand in the belt and backpack-optimized hand pockets and topo pocket. The adjustment options at the hem and waistband guarantee an optimal fit with every movement. For the sake of the environment, the entire Merino Shield Tec line is also completely PFC-free and climate-neutral with CO2 compensation. With a fresh look, the Pala Pants are ready for large climbing lines on high rock faces.
