The model was specially developed for ambitious, developed for sporty ski tourers who are looking for a light ski for the ascent, but at the same time value excellent downhill performance. The Blacklight 88 for women offers you a women-specific flex that is softer and lighter than the unisex version. This makes the ski more playful and allows you more maneuverability on the descent. With an all-rounder sidecut and 88mm underfoot, the shape is ideal for both hard and soft conditions as well as enjoyable powder.
In addition, the new Blacklight 88 for women relies on the proven construction and properties of the other Blacklight models. The ski has a 100% UD carbon upper belt. UD is the abbreviation for unidirectional and describes the arrangement of the carbon fibers. Compared to classic carbon, this construction has a higher tensile strength and higher resilience, while at the same time having a lower volumetric weight. The Blacklight 88 is equipped with a wood core made from 100% high quality Paulownia. Thanks to the 3D construction, the flywheel mass of the ski is reduced in front of and behind the binding area, thus reducing the overall weight of the ski. This gives you extremely stable driving characteristics despite the light weight.
The rocker construction on the tip and tail and the sidecut are adapted to the respective ski length - this is unique in the ski touring market. The effective edge length remains proportionally the same for all lengths and works independently of the ski length. In order to guarantee you the best possible power transmission to the ski, the Blacklight is equipped with a full ABS sidewall. The base also has a special racing finish for even more speed.
