The Atomic BCT Mountaineering SQS is aimed at endurance ski tourers looking for a light, extremely compact and reliable pole for long days in the mountains. It is the ideal companion for anyone who racks up plenty of vertical meters and wants to stow their gear as compactly as possible.

The pole is made from high-grade aluminum with high tensile strength – light yet very durable. The construction works just like an avalanche probe: five internally connected segments fold down to around 40 cm at the push of a button in seconds, so the pole easily fits on or in your pack. The Power Lock adjustment mechanism lets you match the length to the gradient of your climb. The ergonomic BCT grip and the M-Fit touring strap provide a secure hold in kick turns and on long ascents, while the SQS (Safety Quick Release System) automatically releases the strap under strong tension – important protection in the event of a fall. The 85 mm touring basket provides reliable support on the snow, and the carbide tip holds even on hard ground.
