The Alpina Vizzard QV Mips is a visor helmet for your days on the piste and in all-mountain terrain. Head protection and eye protection come in a single piece: put it on, flip the visor down and you are ready to go – no goggle that presses, slips or gets scratched in your jacket pocket. Because the visor sits at a distance from your face, you can easily wear prescription glasses underneath. It is offered as a unisex model in three head circumference sizes.
At ALPINA, QV stands for QuattroVarioflex: Quattroflex enhances contrast and uses a polarisation filter to remove glare and scattered light, while Varioflex tints itself lighter or darker within seconds. On top of that comes MIPS – a movable layer inside the helmet that shifts against the shell in an angled impact and thus reduces rotational forces acting on your head. The sturdy plastic outer shell works together with the shock-absorbing EPS inner shell to take up the energy of an impact. You dial in the fit to the millimetre with the adjustment system at the back of the head, even with gloves on, and the chin buckle can be operated one-handed. The flip-up visor gives you a clear view in the gondola or at the hut in no time.
