Length recommendation for alpine poles:The poles should be chosen to suit your height. A simple formula for this is height x 0.7.
Another way to determine the right ski pole length for alpine use is to do a practical test. To do this, turn the pole upside down and reach under the plates. When the pole is on the ground, your forearm and upper arm should form a right angle.
