Ortovox PROBE ALU 320+ PFA

Ortovox Probe ALU 320+ PFA - The ALU 320 + PFA is our stable, extendable aluminum probe with a PFA clamping system. It has the same features as our ALU 240 PFA probe, but comes in a length of 320 cm and is extendable. In addition, the tip can be exchanged.

Thanks to the optimized PFA system, the ALU 320 + PFA is now MORE COMPACT in pack size while at the same time being easier to handle. The quick-release loop enables immediate opening and tensioning with one hand. All our probes have easy-to-read DEPTH MARKS and a clear 1-METER MARK for determining the burial depth and optimally adapting the shoveling strategy. The bottom neon orange segment provides a visual cue to the victim's proximity while digging. The new, improved RUBBERIZED HANDLE of the ALU 320 + PFA also ensures safe, ice-free handling in all conditions.

PFA quick-release system 2.0

The successor to our often copied quick-clamping system has become even SLIMMER and therefore MORE PACK-FRIENDLY with the same continuously proven clamping performance. With the NEW QUICK RELEASE LOOP, the probe can be clamped directly out of the sheath. You relax by pressing your thumb against the system cover.


Ergonomic grip

The thin and light rubber coating ensures a perfect hold for quick tensioning of the probe.


Visual guidance system

The intuitive visual guidance system gives you quick and clear information about the BURIED DEPTH at all times. Thanks to the clear 1 m marking, the HIGH CONTRASTING DEPTH SCALE and the COLORED END SEGMENTS, you can OPTIMALLY ADJUST your SHOVEL STRATEGY and save important time. The bottom, neon-orange segment shows you when you are getting close to the victim.


Quick-Release Cover

The quick-release loop enables immediate OPENING AND CLAMPING WITH ONE HANDLE, without having to remove the probe from the case first.
The significantly larger diameter of the probe tip than the probe elements promises better penetration.
